What Happened When I Tried Acupuncture

Ever wanted to get off your #medication, either #pain or #depression / #anxiety related? Treat those issues in a #holistic way? Well, #acupuncture helped me do that. Whether your #physicaltherapist does #dryneedling or you go to a certified acupuncturist, you are bound to experience the zen-like feeling of your body releasing its own #opioids as a needle plunges into an ‘ashi,’ or trigger point. Dr. Jacob Erekson, DPT says there’s no more direct way to stimulate healing in these areas than by penetrating the myofascial tissue and muscle with these special needles.

I’ve been under the needle 5 times over the past month, and I see a huge drop in my pain from a car accident injury, as well as a release of muscle tension, and an immediate sense of calm (which helps the depression/anxiety part).

Medical News Today reported a study where #acupuncture resulted in #weightloss, as well.

I know the needles, especially the facial ones (my favorite area; helps immensely with #headaches), look intimidating, but once you experience the #benefits, you’ll be addicted to something better, and healthier, than all your meds and vices. 💊

  1. I want to try acupuncture but I want to find a good place for it. I wonder if it could do the same for me.

  2. Will definitely give it a try. It looks really soothing
